I've got an ASUS system that's been upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows It will get to the splash screen with the time and date, however the keyboard and mouse are not working. The time and date still tic, so we know that the computer isn't frozenit. We've tried uplugging and replugging the mouse and keyboard with no results. We can't seem to get into Safe Mode at all to see if that will resolve the issue, because it seems you have to be able to get into the OS at least once to get into Safe Mode in. When the keyboard and mouse are unplugged and you boot the system up, then plug them in at the splash screen no lights will come onwhich tells me the OS doesn't know what to do with them, since they light up and work just fine during POST. Anyone have any ideas? I feel like if we could just get past the splash screen and into windows once we could install the drivers and resolve the issue permanently.
